Sydney Santa Spectacular – Our Review for 2016

Oh the magic of Christmas… there is nothing like it. Trying to capture that magic and cram it into one big event is no mean feat but for one Sydney family, they made it their challenge and have done an amazing job!

We had the absolute privilege of sharing the Sydney Santa Spectacular with the wonderful families from Camp Quality and The Children’s Hospital last night. It was a very special night seeing the little faces of so many children light up with glowing smiles as they spotted their favourite characters and the big man in red himself. This amazing family open the Sydney Santa Spectacular for one night only to these special families to share with them the magic of Christmas for no cost. The opening night speech brought us all to tears as we heard first hand the heart behind this magical event.

But I have good news…you can go too! Let me tell you about our night to get you excited.

What did we get up too? Well, what didn’t we do would probably be a shorter list but I’m sure you want to hear all about it!

The rides were great! My kids had so much fun on the Sea Circus Adventure and zooming down the Giant Slide. My favourite was the Royal Carousel and the Swinging Chairs are always a blast. I really have to give a shout out to the ride operators as they were so lovely and went out of their way to make sure all the kids got a go no matter what and did everything with a huge smile and loads of Christmas cheer!

There are food vendors available if you get hungry or decide to spoil yourselves with a sweet treat. The sideshows and show bags are essential for a show I reckon and they didn’t disappoint!

After a few rides we then moved inside to a fun area where the kids decorated cookies and rode reindeer. Plenty of other rides and activities for little ones in this part.

Now for the Winter Wonderland! We entered into a magical world where the snow was falling and the elves were busy getting Santa ready for his big night. It truly was a beautiful display and the kids absolutely loved it. Once we made it through the magical tunnel we found Winter Land complete with loads of jumping castles, train ride, entertainment and the big man himself. There is also Ice Skating on Australia’s largest mobile ice rink and a Toboggan Snow Slide – how fun!

Here is the best news, just about everything is included in your ticket price which starts from $37 (children under 2 years are free). Yes there are things you can pay for like sideshows and show bags but, with so much else to do that is included in your ticket price you don’t have to do these to make it a super fun time.

Here is what is included:

  1. Free Parking Worth $25

  2. Plenty of Rides

  3. Festive Fairground Amusement Rides

  4. Cookie Decorating

  5. Little Elves Craft Workshop

  6. Snow World Ice Skating on one of Australia’s Largest Mobile Ice Skate Rink

  7. Toboggan Snow Slide

  8. Free Small Gift from Santa

  9. Christmas Fairy Reading Time

  10. Roaming Meet and Greet Characters

  11. Stage Entertainment

  12. and much much more ..

Photos with Santa are available with packages starting from $35.

We had a fantastic evening and although our tickets were gifted to us, it is the type of event that I would like to take my kids too as a part of their Christmas present. I love gifts of an experience instead of more toys! The ticket price is very reasonable for what is included and especially when numbers for each session are limited to avoid being too crowded. I also love that it is an event for the whole family, from the very little ones all the way to the biggest of kids (that’s me!).

The Sydney Santa Spectacular is located at Rosehill Gardens, Rosehill, Western Sydney. Parking is available and included in your ticket price. There is also a train station right at the front door.

Tickets are selling fast so be sure to jump on over to www.sydneysantaspectacular.com to book yours. Don’t forget to let them know we sent you!
